A law firm seeks a lateral associate to join its Litigation Group in Los Angeles, California, focusing on employment matters. This role is ideal for experienced attorneys with a minimum of four years in a law firm's employment group, particularly on the management side. Candidates with prior government experience in agencies like the EEOC are encouraged to apply. Current law students are not eligible for this position.

Duties

• Draft employment and separation agreements.
• Advise on terminations and restrictive covenants.
• Conduct workplace investigations and manage reductions in force.
• Prepare employer handbooks and perform employment diligence for transactions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of experience in employment law within a law firm.
• Experience on the management side of employment matters.
• Prior government experience in employment law enforcement is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the California State Bar.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
