Job Overview

A law firm seeks a junior to midlevel associate to join its energy practice in San Francisco. The associate will support a nationally recognized team advising developers, operators, and various energy market participants on regulatory, project development, and transactional matters.

Duties

• Advise clients on Western state and federal energy regulatory and policy matters.
• Support developers and utilities in regulatory proceedings and compliance.
• Assist with electric transmission, grid infrastructure, and interconnection issues.
• Conduct legal research and draft regulatory filings and client memoranda.
• Collaborate on infrastructure development and regulatory strategy.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice in California or another relevant U.S. jurisdiction.
• 2-3 years of experience in energy regulatory or infrastructure matters.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience with electric and/or natural gas regulatory matters preferred.

Education

• JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice in California or another relevant U.S. jurisdiction.
