Job Overview

Duties

• Manage and litigate general liability, professional liability, and toxic tort matters from inception through resolution.



• Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence with superior written and oral communication skills.



• Conduct legal research and analyze case files using LexisNexis and case management systems.



• Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment, multitasking effectively while maintaining attention to detail.



• Track billable hours accurately and contribute to firm productivity goals.

Requirements

• Current and active New York Bar membership in good standing.



• Up to 7 years of litigation experience preferred, with a focus on New York practice, though relevant skills from other jurisdictions are considered.



• Strong organizational abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).



• Experience with case/file management systems and the ability to track billable hours.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active New York Bar license.

Skills

• Superior written and oral communication skills.



• Ability to work effectively in a flexible, remote, hybrid, or onsite capacity.



• Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis.
