The role involves representing clients in Surrogate's Court and Supreme Court litigation matters related to wills, trusts, estates, and fiduciary disputes.

Duties

• Represent clients in contested trusts and estates matters, including probate and accounting proceedings.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including legal research, drafting pleadings, and court appearances.
• Advise clients on estate administration disputes and fiduciary obligations.
• Manage cases from consultation through resolution, including trial preparation.
• Collaborate with clients and other counsel to develop litigation strategies.
• Stay informed on developments in trusts and estates law and related matters.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in trusts and estates litigation.
• JD degree with excellent academic credentials.
• Admitted and in good standing in New York State.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong professional judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Portable book of business is a plus, but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

• Admitted to practice law in New York State.
