Duties

• Represent insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured businesses in workers' compensation cases.
• Advise clients on compensability and case strategy.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Interview witnesses and conduct depositions.
• Attend hearings before the North Carolina Industrial Commission.
• Develop case strategies.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree required.
• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
• 2-5 years of experience in workers' compensation defense preferred.
• Excellent research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload.

Education
