A law firm seeks a mid-level restructuring and insolvency associate in New York City, NY. The successful candidate will join a team advising on complex restructuring, bankruptcy, and insolvency matters across various industries, including domestic and cross-border engagements.

Duties

• Manage commercial Chapter 11 proceedings, including pleadings and court appearances.
• Represent debtors, creditors, lenders, and fiduciaries in restructuring matters.
• Handle out-of-court workouts and loan modifications.
• Conduct distressed acquisitions and dispositions.
• Oversee debtor-in-possession financings and cash collateral matters.
• Engage in commercial loan enforcement litigation and adversary proceedings.
• Manage real estate workouts and distressed transactions.
• Address cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Admission to the state Bar of preferred location.
• Experience in restructuring, bankruptcy, and related finance matters.
• Strong analytical, drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage complex matters and work collaboratively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Admission to the state Bar of preferred location.
