A law firm seeks a mid-level associate with expertise in asset management for their Chicago, IL office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in regulatory and compliance matters related to private investment funds.

Duties

• Advise clients on investment management and compliance issues.
• Assist in the formation and structuring of private investment funds.
• Provide guidance on the ongoing management of private equity and hedge funds.
• Develop expertise in the Investment Advisers Act and U.S. securities laws.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of substantive asset management experience.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks for private investment funds.
• Familiarity with the Investment Advisers Act and related laws.
• Admission to the state bar of the preferred office location.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
