Job Overview

A law firm seeks motivated attorneys to join its team in Birmingham, AL. The firm is expanding throughout the Southeast and is interested in attorneys who wish to build a long-term career. Candidates with experience in Bankruptcy, Social Security Disability, Workers' Compensation, or VA Disability law are preferred, but those with strong client-service and legal skills in other areas are also encouraged to apply.

Duties

• Represent clients throughout all stages of their cases.
• Meet and communicate with clients regarding case strategy and status.
• Review and analyze client files and case materials.
• Prepare legal pleadings, briefs, and other documents.
• Represent clients at hearings and proceedings.
• Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the firm's systems.
• Manage an assigned caseload with professionalism.
• Stay current on applicable laws and regulations.
• Assist with the firm's growth and expansion.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing with the Alabama, Georgia, or Tennessee State Bar.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Professional and client-focused approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.)

Certifications

• License to practice law in Alabama, Georgia, or Tennessee

Skills

• Experience in Bankruptcy, Social Security Disability, Workers' Compensation, or VA Disability law preferred.
• Prior courtroom or high-volume client representation experience is a plus.
