Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of litigation experience to join its growing Philadelphia office. This role offers early-career attorneys the opportunity to strengthen litigation skills, gain meaningful case responsibility, and build a long-term career alongside experienced defense and trial attorneys.

Duties

• Manage defense litigation matters from inception through resolution, including investigating claims and developing effective case strategies.



• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and written discovery while conducting legal research and preparing case analyses.



• Conduct and defend depositions, prepare for hearings, mediations, and court proceedings, and assist with trial preparation.



• Communicate directly with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and experts to ensure responsive and high-quality service.



• Handle a diverse range of matters including product liability, toxic tort, commercial litigation, property & casualty, and general liability.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of litigation experience, with defense litigation experience preferred but not required.



• Active admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.



• Experience with legal research, written discovery, pleadings, and motion practice.



• Deposition experience is a plus.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.
