Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Associate, Counsel, or Partner-level attorney with 6+ years of Trusts & Estates experience to join their Hackensack or Holmdel, New Jersey offices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in estate planning, trust and estate administration, and related tax matters.

Duties

• Draft comprehensive estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare proxies, and living wills.



• Manage trust and estate administration matters, such as probate, tax filings, accountings, and distributions.



• Advise clients on complex estate planning strategies, charitable gifting, tax planning, and corporate and succession planning.



• Prepare and review corporate documents, including LLC operating agreements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Trusts & Estates law.



• Admission to the New Jersey Bar is required.



• Admission to the New York Bar is preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in New Jersey.

Skills

• Substantial experience handling a broad range of Trusts & Estates matters.



• Strong background in estate planning, trust and estate administration, and related tax matters.



• Ability to advise on complex strategies including charitable gifting and succession planning.
