Job Overview

A law firm seeks a driven and hard-working attorney to join its General Liability practice group in Tampa, FL. The firm defends businesses and individuals in a wide range of legal matters, including premises liability, products liability, and various torts. Duties

• Take and defend depositions, draft and argue dispositive motions, and attend hearings, mediations, and trials.



• Perform legal research, analyze case law, and prepare pleadings and correspondence.



• Communicate effectively with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel to provide strategic legal advice.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed member of the Florida Bar.



• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong problem-solving abilities.



• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.



• Prior litigation experience is preferred, though not strictly required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of Florida.

Skills

• Proficiency in legal research, deposition preparation, and motion practice.



• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex case law.



• Effective client management and professional communication.
