Job Overview

A law firm seeks an entry-level associate or post-bar clerk to join its Litigation Practice Group in Los Angeles, California. The successful candidate will work with a team of experienced Law Enforcement Defense litigators, representing law enforcement agencies and officers in various legal matters.

Duties

• Assist in representing clients in officer-involved shootings and excessive force cases.
• Engage in complex constitutional and civil rights litigation.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
• Participate in all stages of litigation, including depositions and trial advocacy.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of litigation experience, preferably in civil litigation or government entities.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Interest in constitutional law and civil rights litigation.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Admission to the State Bar of California or pending results with expectation of admission.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the State Bar of California or pending results.
