Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its growing litigation team in San Diego, CA. This remote position offers early-career attorneys the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in creditors' rights and banking litigation while working with a multi-state practice representing major financial institutions.

Duties

• Support senior attorneys in handling civil litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Appear in court on routine matters and assist with trial preparation and execution.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and stay current with applicable statutes and case law.
• Review case files, assist in developing case strategy, and maintain accurate case management systems.
• Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel under supervision and collaborate with legal staff to meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Active California Bar license is required.
• Three or more years of civil litigation experience.
• Ability to pass a background and drug test.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort with legal technology systems.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the California State Bar.
