Controller
Our global family-owned company is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee our accounting and finance operations. The ideal candidate will have management experience and is able to develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures that are compliant with US GAAP and applicable tax laws globally.
The Controller is responsible for supervising the accounting team and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This includes, but is not limited to, overseeing the monthly financial close, financial statement preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, budget preparation, and analysis of financial reports.
The successful candidate will work closely with the VP of Finance and senior management team to provide meaningful financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic insights to drive business growth and profitability.
Responsibilities:
Lead the accounting department, managing and developing the team
Establish policies and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations
Prepare and review monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries
Oversee tax compliance and planning strategies globally
Develop and implement budget and forecast processes
Perform financial analysis and generate reports for senior management
Manage audit and interaction with external auditors
Manage banking relationships and internal controls
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvement and efficiency
Stay up-to-date with accounting and industry trends to ensure compliance with regulations and accounting standards
