s seeking a Director of UI & Design Engineering
to lead the engineering teams responsible for building and supporting the systems, tools and practices that make it easier and faster for engineers and product teams to create great customer experiences.

A strong candidate is passionate about both design and engineering excellence and who knows how to support and build strong teams who will rally around this important work. Perhaps most importantly, the engineering leader for this work will understand how vital it is to support and engage internal teams as their customers: Embracing that success is measured by the joy and improved workflow your solutions bring to other teams
Helping teams increase their speed and efficiency
Setting a high bar for quality, and then helping teams achieve that quality
Bringing both experience and commitment to implementing inner sourcing (internal open source) practices. This includes (among other things) allowing external teams to access and contribute to your teams’ solutions as well as providing excellent documentation and training

In partnership with Product and UX, establish meaningful and measurable objectives and key results (OKRs)

About The Technology
Our systems are built on, and we look for experience with these technologies: JavaScript, React, React Native, HTML, CSS, NodeJS
Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure like AWS / GCP / Azure

Minimum Qualifications
8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent relevant professional experience
2 years experience managing and leading engineering teams
1 year managing managers
Relevant engineering experience such as software development; team or technology leadership or work direction; critical reasoning skills; ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders; experience managing relationships with stakeholders; experience delivering quality engineering outcomes
