The candidate will Send letters of representation. Reviewing, organizing and summarizing medical records. Preparing, calculating, and maintaining damage summaries including medical expenses, lost wages, and property damage. Preparing and forwarding demand packages to insurance carriers and defense counsel. Communicating and corresponding with clients regarding case status and details. Coordinate disclosures and discovery responses. Reviews all documents and makes initial determination regarding information that is privileged or that otherwise requires redaction, and draft privilege logs. Assists with preparation of court filings. Ensures all deadlines are calendared and met. Drafts court filings under attorney supervision, such as routine motions, disclosures, subpoenas, notices, scheduling orders, and pretrial orders. Assists with preparation for depositions and trials. Prepares for witness interviews and depositions. Coordinates with vendors. Assists attorneys in all phases of trial preparation (e.g., prepares exhibits, coordinates witnesses, creates demonstrative exhibits, etc.). Preparing for disbursement and finalizing the case. 3-5+ years of experience as a personal injury paralegal are required. Articulate, organized team player with excellent grammar and writing skills who is a self-starter are required. Positive attitude, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is essential. Solid organizational and interpersonal communication skills are required. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines are required. Proficiency working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software applications are required. Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat are required. Experience with E-filing with Colorado courts and PACER are required. Working knowledge of Colorado State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and Practice Standards are required.
