RESPONSIBILITIES
The Infrastructure Support Specialist (Network Engineer) will be performing network design, network implantation, standardization, consolidation/migration, monitoring, troubleshooting and documentation of hardware and virtual networks. Maintain network up time and resolve issues quickly.
Build virtual networks (VMware) and hardware servers to support
VLAN, switching and routing
Maintain Windows Active Directory, GPO's, file servers and other network resources
Maintain Windows Workstations, build, troubleshoot, configure and manage
Backup/restore disaster recovery Veeam and Commvault
Ensure all network issues are resolved in a timely manner with minimal impact to customers
Perform break/fix maintenance such replacing and configuring switches, SANs and servers (hardware and virtual)
Work with other Engineers to proactively improve network performance and stability
Setup and configure computers, servers and network devices
Reconcile or distribute IT vendor invoices and purchase requests
Hybrid AD with AD Azure and Office 365
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree preferred (will consider experience in lieu of degree)
3-5 years of experience maintaining a corporate infrastructure consisting of multiple sites
Must be able to obtain security clearance
Must be able to obtain ISSM
General knowledge of protocols and network security
Technical support experience
Ability to perform windows patch management; scheduled and unscheduled scanning for and deployment of missing patches on local domain
Experience with HyperV and/or Mware
Ability to test software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether product will aid user in performing work
Experience in writing software and hardware evaluations and recommendations for management review
Microsoft Windows 2008/2012/2016 Server
Microsoft Active Directory
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, architecture and routing
Write and/or revises user training manuals and procedures
Train users on software and hardware onsite or in classroom, or recommends outside contractors to provide training
Experience maintaining a corporate infrastructure technical support experience
Microsoft Exchange on perm and online
Microsoft Windows and 10
VMware certification highly desired
MCSE highly desired
Technical experience working with virtualization best practices preferred
Technical experience working with firewalls preferred
Scripting experience preferred
Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion
Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Travel to branch offices may also be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
