Global Support Services, LLC (GSS), a wholly owned subsidiary of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. (BSNC) is seeking Cost Analyst at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Under general direction, coordinates the financial aspects of initiatives/programs whose funding crosses appropriation lines with detailed cost analysis, cost reports, budgetary analysis, financial process identification & development, and financial analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares or reviews complex cost reports and cost allocation plans; reviews financial documents prepared by others for accuracy, form, and content; interprets and resolves financial findings.
Reviews financial forecast estimates of appropriate/programs and recommends revisions as appropriate. Conducts rate analysis to determine appropriate levels and sets attributes accordingly.
Reviews or prepares cost rate proposals for programs and intitives using advaced excel techniques, ACEiT, and SEER SEM tools.
Development and analysis of initiative/program benefits and calculations of ROI and Payback Metrics.
Measures cost per unit of service to determine whether cost are being set at appropriate levels.
Consults with and advises department management and financial personnel on a wide variety of financial and cost accounting matters including SDDP financial deliverables.
Advises initiatives/programs on cost accounting procedures, practices, and FIAR requirements.
Extracts and manipulates data from spreadsheets and databases to establish cost accounting criteria
Develop simple finanical spreadsheets / databases for analytical purposes.
Evaluates operational and financial work processes, organizational systems, policies, procedures, and computer technology in order to establish To Be financial processes.
Analyzes system design alternatives for development of new financial componentry within new logistics systems and improvements to existing systems.
Coordinates financial aspects of initiatives/programs with detailed cost analysis and cost reports.
Responsible for reporting, calculating, and estimating costs for Federal financial and logistics initiatives.
Analyzes financial process compliance with Federal Laws, Regulations and Policies including FIAR.
Represent and advocate initiative/program position during reviews and discussions.
Develop budgetary inputs for periodic Federal budgetary initiative/program requirements.
NON - ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform action officer duties per customer processes to respond to management questions and taskings

Job Requirements :
Required:
Five to seven [5-7) years of DOD/Government professional financial experience, preferably with experience within Air Force financial management.
A bachelor's degree in accounting business administration, computer science, or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Reporting, calculating, and estimating federal initiatives/programs' cost analysis.
Analyzing and estimating rates for services to be provided.
Prepares proper documentation for initiatives/programs' meetings and discussions.
Interprets and resolves financial findings
High level of proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office products.
Strong analytical background and good interpersonal skills.
Consults with staff regarding budgets for initiatives/programs.
Preferred:
Ten or more [10 J years of experience performing Federal Government / Air Force cost analysis and logistics/financial process reengineering,
Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities, with exposure to ACEiT, and SEER SEM tools preferred.
