Spanish Translation of Dark Existential Novel

Profile

Spanish Translation of Dark Existential Novel
I am a human rights attorney and author. My work and efforts have been featured in magazines, newspapers, TV shows around the world. This is not self-aggrandizing, but google my name to see the kind of work and, especially, writing that I have done. It is important that you understand where I am coming from to do do well by this translation.
I have written a book called The Dead Sea about the death of the America. It is about two people trying to find meaning in a sickness, so yes, its a novel for this time. The book is short. About 140 pages, maybe less. I have a cool little independent publisher in Mexico City that wants to publish the book as long as we pay for the translation into Spanish.
You should be well read, maybe even a writer yourself who understands the work of Camus, Dostoevsky. That said, my writing style is simple. It is layered, builds via a relationship between two people.. To get this job, you have to see it as the cool project that it is....a deep dive into the human condition. Fun. Well discuss concepts. Always interested in your thoughts. You should be somewhat bohemian, intellectual, doing this because its good interesting work during a time when everything is shut down, and because the book is relevant. If you are 110 percent professional translator who does contracts with law firms and corporations, this is not for you.
If you sense that what I am building to here is that its not going to be the standard rates that New York publisher - simon and Schuster - would pay a translator for a novel, you are exactly right/ This is paid. And the money is real. But it is a one off project for someone who will do it as a labor of love.
