Staff Attorney
The candidate will participate in all aspects of complex civil litigation practice for at least 40 hours per week in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Will conduct extensive legal research using resources such as legal documents, periodicals, statutes, textbooks, and other legal references, as well as internet-based search engine and software, and prepare summaries of legal research. Prepare legal memorandum and draft and review contracts. Prepare and respond to pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery and other legal documents and correspondence. Represent client in state and federal hearings, trials, mediation, and depositions. Review deposition transcripts and prepare summaries of the transcripts. Perform other related duties as assigned. Promote the ethical & professional practice of law while interacting with client representatives, litigants, members of the bar, and members of the judiciary and their staff. May work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays because of the workload and nature of the work.
