Sr. Retention Marketing Specialist

Profile

The Sr. Retention Marketing Specialist will play an essential role in Demand Media’s Retention Marketing team. This position will be key to the operational success of the team, fully owning end-to-end campaign management of various retention marketing programs (email, onsite, and mobile) from pre-production, to development, execution, and reporting.   Responsibilities:  

Own end-to-end campaign production: Pre-production, coordination of creative development, campaign setup (some HTML coding), and deployment of marketing emails on ESP platform.
Proofing and QA of campaigns to ensure flawless execution.
Participate in the creative development process from copywriting to collaborating closely with the individual site stakeholders and designers to guide development of campaign creative.
Extensive coordination with Site stakeholders, Product Management, Engineering and Retention Marketing leadership on testing and execution of campaigns.
Deliver analysis and reporting of campaign and operational email performance. Communicate results and provide/implement improvement recommendations.
Own day-to-day communication with Site stakeholders.
Conduct frequent analysis of competitor programs

Requirements:  

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or equivalent experience
4 years of email marketing and email production required
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint & Excel) is a must
Knowledge of HTML. Email coding experience a plus.
Strong project management skills
Familiarity with ASP/ESP third party email platform, or internal email system (i.e. YesMail, Cheetah Mail, Silver Pop, Axiom, Sailthru, Pulse Point etc.) or ASP platform (i.e. Responsys, ExactTarget etc.)
Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects at once
Strong teamwork skills and proven ability to partner across an organization to get stuff done.
Adobe Photoshop experience preferred
