Contract Immigration Paralegal
The candidate will work under the direction of the Immigration lawyers on all aspects of case preparation for temporary and permanent visa petitions and applications. Analyze case documents and prepare immigration applications for filing with the appropriate government agency. Drafting petitions, applications and specialized support letters detailing eligibility for visa classification and other immigration benefits. Monitor workload and production. Oversee status of cases through INS ZOOM, and or run reports as needed. Work closely in team environment and provide updates while building knowledge of Firm and client processes. Learn procedural and processing requirements for various types of non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications. A BS or BA Degree or Associates Degree preferred. Experience with INS Zoom preferred. Should preferable have 3+ years of experience with an immigration law firm, department or immigration function. Strong knowledge of procedural requirements for various types of non-immigrant and immigrant visas and client processes is required. Must have experience drafting RFEs and PERM Audit responses, and drafting and filing large volumes of immigrant and non-immigrant petitions, including H-1B, L, O and E’s.
This is a contract position. The initial length of this contract will be for three to six months.
