Program Manager/Staff Attorney
The candidate reports directly to the Executive Director and will take the leadership role in seeking and managing grant funded projects, and overseeing both the administrative and key fiscal elements of such programs, including subcontracts. Will also be part of the legal team developing and implementing litigation and education initiatives to achieve the strategic advancement of victim law and legal services for victims nationwide. This position includes internal and external functions and duties. Essential Functions: Management of federally funded programs, including subcontract management, budget development assistance and oversight, and project documentation. Ensure compliance with all award documents, federal or other relevant cost principles, rules and regulations; creation and adherence to administrative policies and procedures, including employee manual. Management of contract and subcontracting processes related to fellow training and technical assistance providers. Regular reporting to funders, including federal Department of Justice, Board of Directors and others on project progress. As part of company’s legal team, providing legal training technical assistance on victim law to attorneys and advocates nationwide. As part of project team, develop a manual of protocols and forms for the creation and maintenance of legal networks. Work closely with all staff to advance company’s mission and vision, and to ensure all projects of company are programmatically sound, well-managed, thoughtfully evaluated and timely implemented. Assist in preparation for and production of company’s annual conference, annual fundraisers, and other major organizational events. Assist in development of company’s websites, including both substantive materials and marketing and outreach materials. Position may include supervision of other attorneys and staff on projects. Others duties as assigned.
