Assistant Professor (Reference Librarian)

Duties: participate in teaching first year legal research. In addition, the reference position will also participate in other specialized teaching programs such as classroom visits in both law college courses and graduate and undergraduate courses throughout the university and other local colleges, universities and members of the bar. participate in developing policies and programs for public services, including collection development, developing written and web based research support materials, developing outreach programs for training and informing patrons about new materials, including those in electronic and digital formats. Will be expected to produce scholarship, teach and serve on various law college, law library and university committees. Proportions of work for this position will be approximately 90% service (reference and informal legal research instruction) and 5% research (writing and scholarship) and 5% teaching (formal legal research instruction).
