Assistant Professor - Entry-Level
Candidates must either: a) hold a JD Degree or equivalent degree by date of application, or b) hold or have advanced to candidacy status for a Ph.D., or equivalent degree, in a related field by date of application. Doctoral (or equivalent degree) candidates will be expected to complete their degree within six months of appointment. Candidates across all areas of law, although subject areas of particular interest include contracts are welcome. Must have demonstrated a commitment to excellence by providing leadership in teaching, research and service towards building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment. Berkeley Law offers a unique program of graduate study in law and society, leading to the Ph.D. degree in Jurisprudence and Social Policy (JSP). Candidates interested in teaching as a faculty member within the JSP Program should have an interest in the teaching and mentoring of Ph.D. students admitted to the JSP Program in the School of Law.
