Associate General Counsel
Duties: Draft, negotiate, and review University contracts; Draft and review University Regulations, policies, and procedures; Develop and maintain expertise in specific areas of law, including but not limited to employment, discrimination and harassment, copyright and trademark, intellectual property, athletics, real estate, construction, public records, opening meetings, and higher education; Conduct legal research and provide advice and counsel to University administrators, managers, and supervisors; Represent the University in a variety of administrative proceedings, including internal disciplinary matters involving faculty, students, and staff; and represent the University in external administrative proceedings involving state and federal agencies; Provide proactive legal education and advice to University administrators, managers, and supervisors regarding compliance with various state and federal regulations; Assist in the review of and compliance with the Wyoming Public Records Act and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act; and Serve on committees and perform other duties as assigned.
