The candidate must have strong teaching skills and successful prior higher-education teaching experience, be active in scholarly activities, be committed to service and professional development, and knowledge of teaching technologies in both classroom and online modalities. Ph.D. degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Sociology, or other closely related academic discipline is essential. Applicants with a J.D. alone will not be considered. ABD may be considered. Experience teaching adult students are essential. Current or former certified law enforcement officer is needed.
