Liberty Personnel is working with a global manufacturer adding an Engineer to their quality team.
Experience with continuous improvement, audits and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing setting is ideal.
Summary
Ensure all customers base are given the best possible products that meet all code and regulatory requirements, as well as meet or exceed expectations related to component quality and function. Assist in root cause analysis, internal and external auditing of processes and lead continuous improvement and new tooling and equipment projects.
Responsibilities
Ensures compliance with appropriate regulatory standards.
Perform and coordinates internal audits to ensure continuing compliance with Quality System Standards (ISO 9001) and the manufacture of safe products
Lead the investigation, resolution and prevention of product and process nonconformance and corrective actions
Identify continuous improvement opportunities
Support efforts to implement problem-solving and root cause analysis
Performs reporting and analysis of production processes
Utilizes internal and external supplier performance data to improve quality of purchased materials
Inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products
Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
2 years of related process improvement and Quality assurance experience.
Regulatory / compliance experience ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
Manufacturing industry background.
Strong communication skills, report writing, procedure manuals, and presentation skills.
Proficiency with MS Office.
Some knowledge of ISO, DOT, Transport Canada, EN, ASME and ASTM standards are desirable but not needed.
Base knowledge of calibration of measurement devices.
