Golang AWS Lambda developer
Were looking to find an independent backend developer partner to help with web application builds.
There is an immediate project that needs urgent help and other projects under proposals.
The current project is building a mobile responsive web app for a fitness plan (nutrition, exercise and meal planning).
There is already a design completed and a set of frontend components built (currently the frontend is using placeholder data).
We want to add someone to the team to focus on building a golang based API to drive the front end, store data, retrieve data, handle authentication, etc. The requirements are fairly simple so we need someone who can start right away and complete the work quickly.
Our stack:
VueJS (nuxt) for the frontend
Golang for the API and GORM to wrap around the postgres database running in AWS
Netlify for hosting and using the functions wrapper around AWS lambda
Your required experience:
- Solid golang experience especially creating HTTP based APIs for web applications (JSON payloads and JWT auth via auth0)
- GORM experience with the postgres flavour (or if you prefer not to use an ORM and want to roll your own DB layer that is fine too)
- AWS Lambda experience (specifically the golang application context eg request/response pattern - not setting up the AWS environment or doing devops work)
- Fluent in English and able to communicate and collaborate effectively with the rest of the team (frontend dev & project manager)
- Able to start right away and spend close to full time hours on it for the next couple of weeks
Nice to haves:
Understanding AWS in more detail eg RDS
Understanding of VueJS or reactive web frontend
In depth understanding of JWT based authentication using auth0
We can negotiate a fixed or hourly rate but we need a good price and there will be ongoing work for the right candidate
