Migrate wordpress site to a new theme
Hello,
I have a Wordpress project available for bid. The project consists of moving from an existing theme [login to view URL] to a new, cleaner theme that looks similar to [login to view URL]
It is imperative that all existing menu structures and landing pages remain intact. The site is fairly old and therefore, the search results could suffer if we lose the existing structures. I am looking for a Wordpress professional who takes pride in the end product, so if your goal is to rush through without regard for the details, please don’t bid. This is the first of 3 sites I intend to convert to a new, cleaner theme, so a job well done on this one will result in at least that business, and I may have a need for some regular maintenance on these three sites going forward. I would prefer someone who is interested in building a working relationship rather than a one-off project.
This is a little bit more than a lift and shift, but at it’s essence, it is just moving the existing site to a new theme. My preference is that we limit customizations as much as possible so that ongoing maintenance is simple. The advertisements will need to remain with the new theme. I would also like someone who can optimize the site as a part of the migration. This isn’t an optimization project, but I would appreciate someone who makes obvious improvements as they go.
Due to an increase in the number of automatic bids, please include the phrase “Lake Barkley Site” in your bid. Those who do not include this phrase will be excluded from my review of the bids. To that end, please make sure that your bid is the actual amount that you will charge for the project. Far too many bidders try and change their price after the project is awarded. If you are the winning bidder and try and change your price (unless I ask for a change in the scope of the project) I will cancel the project. No good relationship is built off of a bait and switch. Do not bid if this is how you work! Lastly, as you can see, I have successfully completed a lot of projects on this platform. I am a trusted, long standing member of the community. As such, I will not pay in advance for anything. I am happy to pay as work is completed, and we can put together a draw schedule if that is necessary, but I pay at milestones, and the first milestone is not your accepting the project.
My rules for working together are the result of having completed many projects and they have been almost universally great and these requirements are meant to continue that trend.
