Associate General Counsel
The candidate will provide oral and written reports and recommendations to General Counsel. Will provide legal advice to mitigate and manage risks within the University. Review contracts for legal and business risk. Assist with Title IX and other civil rights proceedings. Draft contracts, correspondence, agreements, and policies. Create and deliver training materials to various audiences across the University. Assist with compliance activities. Interpret state and federal law and regulations. Stay abreast of legislation affecting, and best practices in, higher education. Should have a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school and be a member in good standing of the State Bar of New Hampshire or California, or be admitted within 1 year of employment. Preference will be given to candidate with experience in higher education, Title IX or other civil rights, litigation, complex contracts, risk management, or labor and employment matter.
