Adjunct Clinical Professor of Law & Staff Attorney
Duties: Serve as an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Law School performing work in the area of expunction and driver’s license restoration. Supervise certified legal interns (law students) performing legal work for clients at the Blanchard Community Law Clinic during the fall, spring and summer sessions. Organize expunction clinics where clients will receive direct legal services. Provide technical, administrative, and legal assistance to facilitate “mass expunction” events initiated by District Attorneys in North Carolina in collaboration with the Justice Center. Organize community education events related to expunction and driver’s license restoration. Perform research, collect data and prepare policy and position papers related to expunctions with the support of law students. Participate in local and state criminal justice reform policy work. Form and nurture collaborative relationships with community partners and stakeholders. Administer tests, assignments and other exercises that permit measure of knowledge, abilities and/or performance relative to the course learning objectives. Maintain effective and timely communications with students and staff at all times. Provide students with individual feedback on assessments. Administer exams according to Law School guidelines. Complete student record keeping and submit grades in a timely and accurate manner. Participate in departmental, faculty and staff meetings as requested. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned by Supervisors at any time with or without notice. Uphold and abide by School and Campbell University policies and procedures, including, Title IX, and FERPA guidelines.
