Director of Advancement
Responsibilities: Provide sound management and leadership to NIU’s various constituents and programs related to the College of Business. Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of individual and corporate major gift donors and potential donors specifically for the college. Obtain private major gifts, and planned gifts, while supporting the priorities identified by the college and the Division of University Advancement. Focus on minimum gifts of $25,000. Works with the senior director of advancement, College and will work in close collaboration with the dean and other faculty/staff of the college regarding development responsibilities. Assist in the establishment of fund-raising goals for special projects and will develop and promote long-range solicitation strategies. Lead to participation in ongoing and programmatic relationships with alumni, parents, friends, corporations/foundations, faculty, and staff of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.. Participate in comprehensive fundraising for the College of Business which includes; developing solicitation letters/proposals, documenting pledge intentions, writing timely expendable fund and endowed agreements and regularly completing contact reports. Work on special projects, distinguished donor society fund-raising, capital campaigns, and partner with the college alumni relations director for event and communication strategies. Reports directly to the senior director of advancement.
