POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and creative scientist to join our interdisciplinary R&D team to develop methods for bioanalytical characterization of our therapeutics programs and guide in the experimentation and testing of preclinical formulation development of our novel antibody-nucleic acid therapeutic agents. This candidate will take the lead in designing and performing bioanalytical methods and preclinical stage formulation development studies of lead molecule programs, performing drug stability and developability studies to support drug advancement.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with members of protein and bioanalytical science teams to optimize complex formation and stability for novel therapeutic payloads

• Design and execute formulation development and characterization studies for GMAB antibody and novel DNA or RNA payloads
rnt
• Design and perform protein-nucleic acid stability studies to support formulation and drug product platform development
rnt
• Perform excipient screening and optimization
rnt
• Perform and determine solubility profiles on drug components and and characterize routes of degradation of GMAB under various stress conditions

• Work with CROs and CMC team on tech transfer for design, development and testing of formulations for drug product stability for GMP manufacture

• Perform statistical data analysis and present the results

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ph.D. degree with 5 years of experience in monoclonal antibody or other protein formulation development
rnt
• Monoclonal antibody formulation development, aseptic operation experience, be familiar with analytical tools for drug product development such as, not limited to, SE-HPLC, UV/vis spectroscopy, viscosity determination, and knowledge and experience of compendia assays, especially particulate analysis, including micro flow imaging

• Hands on experience with protein sample preparations, aseptic operations, and stability studies are essential.

• Prior development and characterization experience with nucleic acid, LNP, nanoparticle or AAV therapies a plus

• Lead the development of phase-appropriate biochemical and biophysical methods as well as high-throughput biophysical methods for characterization of stability and degradation mechanisms of the drug products

• Demonstration of goal-oriented, hands-on and innovative approach to problem solving
