The candidate is responsible to directly supervise all investigators and the Investigative Support Specialist. Serve as the Title IX Coordinator’s second in command in matters related to discrimination and sexual misconduct. Assist with the development, implementation, and compliance of policies and procedures related to OIDE’s complaint/investigation process, investigate complex and high level cases. Oversees the receipt, investigation, and resolution of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation complaints by students, employees and others protected under state and federal laws and regulations. Oversee the receipt, investigation and resolution of discrimination, harassment and retaliation complaints. Provide direct supervision to the OIDE Investigators and Investigative Support Specialist. Represent OIDE as second in command in matters related to Title IX and discrimination investigations in the absence of the senior Director or as a designee of the senior Director. Assist the Senior Director in monitoring university’s policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SUNY, State and Federal laws and regulations; ensure that policies and procedures currently being utilized are compliant with firm and SUNY policies and work with office of General Counsel on legal compliance issues. Assist the senior Director in developing and implementing process and procedure related to Title VI, VII and Title IX. Serve as Senior Investigator and conduct sexual harassment and discrimination based investigations. Assist the senior Director in preparing annual statistical reports for the campus community and related compliance reports to firm leadership and external agencies. Work with appropriate offices to submit aggregated date (i.e. SUNY Domestic Violence report, firm Annual Security Report, 129-B Report, etc…). Assist in the development of reports regarding Title VI, VII, IX requirements, issues, trends and compliance programs. Other duties as assigned appropriate and in accordance with departmental mission.
