The candidate will efficiently manage multiple cases. Collaborate with claims adjusters and/or clients to develop an appropriate defense strategy. Review discovery documents. Perform key research on case laws as relates to the case. Work closely with staff to prepare and maintain the defense strategy. Prepare pleadings, discovery, demands and responses. Draft reports and provide file analysis. Maintain a regular schedule of hearings, court appearances and conferences based on case requirements. Schedule and administer full depositions of case witnesses and experts. Represent clients in court when appropriate. Must have Bachelor's degree with JD, and admission to the bar in Mississippi. Should have 3-5 years of experience in an insurance defense or related setting.
