The project will be broken up into 3 phases
1. Website Rebuild
2. Membership Plugin Selection and Configuration
a. Data Migration
3. Groups/Buddypress update and configuration.
Scope of work
1. Website rebuild
Redstart Creative will rebuild the website for your organization by developing a custom child theme that works within an existing WordPress page builder framework. The new website will also incorporate the organization’s current website design and functionality.
2 Membership Plugin Update and Configuration
replace the outdated and unsupported Membership2 plugin with WooCommerce Subscriptions. also migrate all current subscriptions to WooCommerce as well. WooCommerce subscriptions will be integrated with Salesforce so that Membership data can be synced between Wordpress and Salesforce.
Functionality to be implemented
• Purchases of Memberships will sync the date, amount of purchase, membership status field between Wordpress and Salesforce on to client specified object.
• Upon payment by credit card on website, membership status becomes active on both Wordpress and updated in Salesforce
• Payments by check can be added manually to Wordpress and will update membership status and sync to Salesforce.
• Memberships will be scheduled to renew automatically on September 1 of each year.
3. BuddyPress Configuration
configure BuddyPress to be more user friendly and visually appealing for members.
Functionality to be implemented
• Default Display:
o The user should be able to see or access their own profile as soon as they login.
o If a member is logged in, their profile should be first on the list of members.
o Alternatively, place a button on the directory home page to their profile.
• Groups Access and View:
o Users need to be able to find groups in the directory.
 Either through button on homepage
 Or added to the member dropdown menu
• The user will be able to visit one page where they can:
o view all existing groups
o create new groups
o join groups.
• Group Permissions: All members will have the ability to create groups.
• Group Name Formatting: The list of group names will be formatted to make it clear that they are links leading to the groups.
• Button Labels: The button labels in a users profile will be updated and renamed to show:
o Which groups a user is a member of
o Users activity in all groups
• Notifications View: All notifications, both read and unread, are always visible and not distinguishable..
o Distinguish between read and unread notifications.
• Communications Preferences:
o Members will be able to determine if they want to receive group activity notification emails
