Sr Software Developer with a focus on Production Support, ETL maintenance/development, BI maintenance/development
to work onsite with one of it's clients located in Chicago, IL. Below is the detailed job description.

Role:
This position will be a part of Operational Data Store and BI Production delivery team which provides business analysis, report development and maintenance, and production support for daily processing and operations.
Participates in client interactions, possibly with more senior team members, to develop system fixes/solutions to business problems
Works independently and with supervisory review on moderate to highly complex design and data solutions
Performs product design tasks of a moderate to high complexity which require research and analysis
Participates in the operational reconciliation functions between internal systems and outside third party clearing firms
Performs analytical functions for the business to generate appropriate reports and to manage operational functionality such as reconciliation
Performs system testingand debugging
Provides analysis of problems and recommends solutions
Works within established procedures to develop, test, implement, and maintain application software solutions and systems
Recognized as a SME on a particular system, aspect or module of a system
Responsible for on call support and batch process monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution
Creates and maintains documentation such as runbooks, system diagrams, process documentation etc.
Perform code reviews of implemented code
Requirements:
5 years programming experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
5 years of solid ETLprogramming experience in tools such as SSIS and Informatica
5 years experience with SSRS
Experience with SSAS a plus
Experience using other Informatica toolsets / products like InformaticaPowerCenter 9.x and above suite a plus
Good working knowledge of RDBMS (primarilyMS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2), Flat files, DBMS, Warehouse appliances (Netezza, Teradata)
Good working knowledge of batch loads, batch scheduler tools in any of SQL Server job scheduler, Control M, Tidal, Tivoli or likewise
Ability to performance tune ETL jobs and queries
Must be resourceful, results driven and adaptable
Experience working in an IT environment
Ability to mentor and lead teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PL/SQL and TSQL programming
Windows, DOS knowledge
Working knowledge of batch scripting
Ability to write automated processes
Sound knowledge of Data & Data Warehousing concepts like Inmon, Kimball, Star Schema, Snowflakes, SCDs, ODS, DataMarts
Solid working knowledge of all components of the end to end trading environment
