Contract Specialist

Duties: Preparing, reviewing, negotiating, and processing clinical agreements and proposals with external sponsors, including industry/for-profit sponsors. Clinical trial agreements, confidentiality/nondisclosure agreements, subcontracts, and other related agreements for clinical research studies that involve human subjects. Manage an active caseload with goals of timely execution and ensured conformance with university and governmental policies, regulations and legal requirements. Advise and assist faculty and staff with regard to submission of funding proposals for clinical research to both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Collaborate with other university administrative offices and local hospital research and legal offices as needed to facilitate and resolve contract or proposal issues (with emphasis on indemnification, intellectual property, publication rights, confidentiality, and protection of human subjects). Log and track agreements and proposals in office databases and prepare reports as needed. Respond to inquiries from internal and external constituents with a high regard for customer service.
