Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Law

Duties: Report to the Dean of the Law School or designee. Coordinate a team of adjunct faculty, to design and supervise effective courses in the legal writing curriculum of the School of Law, to teach courses, and to perform duties as Director as assigned by the Dean or designee. Will recruit and evaluate potential faculty and recommend to the Dean or the dean's designee whom to select or retain as adjunct faculty in the legal writing program. Will counsel, mentor, and assess adjunct faculty in legal writing courses and students otherwise enrolled in the School of Law or University. Will engage in an imaginative and innovative program of scholarship that explains legal concepts and related policy and concepts, that encourages the reform of the law to promote social justice and peace, and that enhances understanding of the law and issues affecting justice by the bar, the bench, legal officials, law students, and the public. Will engage in an active program of service to the school and its students, the university and its community, the public, and the law. Will be an engaged and collegial member of the community of scholars, acting with initiative and collaboration to improve the ability of the School of Law to manifest its mission.
