Grants and Contracts Administrator–Contract Specialist
Responsibilities: Negotiates acceptable terms and conditions in accordance with the specific primary funding sponsors’ provisions, University’s policies applicable to sponsored projects, material transfer agreements, confidential disclosure agreements, and data use agreements; partner institution’s/organization’s input; input from the University’s principal investigators, administrators and central administration under the supervision of the Grants and Contracts Manager. Maintains protocol information in AURA records as appropriate to the specific agreement needs. Maintains AURA record with fully executed agreements and other internal documentation. Performs routine grant and contract support duties, follow up for Grants and Contracts Managers regarding pre and post award activities as needed and assists with other activities associated with proposals and awards for research, training, and other sponsored activities from federal and non-federal funding sources. Gather and submit closeout documentation from unit and/or PI. Ensure completeness and accuracy; coordinate any internal controls prior to submission of documents to awarding agency and assists to close projects in the data system that have been approved for closing.
