Work in an interdisciplinary team of Researchers to help transition wireless communication and networking concepts from early stage lab demonstrations to fieldable prototypes.
Work with U.S. Government Agencies to shape winning proposals and lead projects that will create innovative solutions in wireless communication and networking.
Collaborate with universities, industrial consortiums, commercial partners and others to advance the state of the art in 5G, wireless communication and networking.
Participate in IEEE, ISA and other relevant standards bodies to help drive connectivity solutions to support GE business needs.
Publish technical papers, file patents, and contribute to open source communities.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience OR Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines with a minimum of 7 years of industry experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines with a minimum of 11 years of industry experience.
Experience in the design, implementation, and testing of wireless connectivity solutions including: 5G, WiFi, millimeter wave, massive MIMO, software defined radio, or cognitive radio.
Hands-on experience in the design and implementation of at least one OSI layer (1 through 4).
Experience in programming languages and tools such as: C, C , Python,
MATLAB/Simulink, or Genesys.
Experience in network simulation tools such as: NS3, QualNet, or OPNET
