Assistant Professor of Accounting, Taxation
The candidate will provide duties include: teaching, research, scholarship and/or creative activity, and service to the University, profession and to the community. Advising students, participation in campus and system-wide committees, maintaining office hours, working collaboratively and productively with colleagues, and participation in traditional academic functions. Faculty may also be expected to collaborate with student organizations, accounting professionals, and community colleges in our service area. Will work effectively, respectfully, and collaboratively in diverse, multicultural, and inclusive settings. Must have an earned doctorate (Ph.D. or DBA) in Accounting or an equivalent degree (JD, LLM for taxation) from an AACSB accredited institution. Must have evidence of successful teaching experience at the university level. Must have demonstrated training, expertise, and experience teaching Taxation, Accounting Information Systems, Financial Accounting or Managerial Accounting. Must have evidence of publications in scholarly journals. Must have evidence demonstrating possession of CPA license or other professional license/certification (e.g. CMA, CIA, CFA, EA, CISA, CFE, CGAP, or CBA). Must have documented accounting or other relevant business experience.
