Director of Technology
Our client is looking for a rock star Interactive Team Lead. They need an expert in understanding business processes and enabling brilliant technology solutions to support their client’s businesses. They need someone with a consistent track-record of technology innovation and insights – a problem solver with deep interactive experience, excellent management skills and the ability to make the complex understandable to non-technical people.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Displays expert knowledge
and
skills in Marketing Technology and how and when to utilize it to meet client business goals
Proficient in providing technology/process strategic advice to the clients
Demonstrated track record of internal technology training/shared learning
Manages a team of experienced developers and freelance resources to consistently, successfully deliver execution of complex technology projects and initiatives
Can effectively balance client and agency team demands to deliver high-impact technology work on time, on budget
Expert ability to scope a project, including hours necessary to complete the work, timing, assumptions and identifying risks and contingencies
Creation and review of functional, technical and data requirements documentation
Consistently manages client and internal expectations without alienating either party
Proactively searches out best practices to strengthen the team’s technology delivery
Is a practitioner as well as a leader, willingness and ability to “roll up your sleeves” and get involved in code and QA when necessary
Effectively allocates resources, proactively identifies risks and mitigates by hiring and managing freelancers and contract agencies on an as needed basis
Participates in new business efforts (RFP development, Prototyping, Presentations)
SKILLS
A proven very high proficiency in Javascript, JSON, Dreamweaver, XML, CSS, XHTML and JQuery
An excellent online portfolio that demonstrates expertise in web design principles, functionality, and usability standards
A “can do” attitude paired with excellent presentation skills
Five years experience in a similar role, ideally in an agency environment
No ego – an inspirational leader who is willing to share your expertise with your team
Passion for the Internet and emerging digital technologies
Great client relationship skills as you’ll be working directly with our partners at times
