Director of Diversity Initiatives
The candidate will be responsible for providing career advising to students and managing a portfolio of career planning and professional development programs, events, and administrative processes. Inform and assist law students and alumni interested in opportunities for our students to contribute to diversity, in addition to offering general career counseling and event programming/participation. Should have Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and 2+ years of professional experience. Should have 2+ years of professional experience required, with preference given to those with significant experience advising students and alumni in a career development office. Must have excellent writing, administrative, and interpersonal skills. Should have familiarity with diversity, inclusion and equity work in the legal profession/education. Must have familiarity with North Carolina legal market. Should have familiarity with the UNC School of Law.
