What the role?
The eDiscovery Analyst role is responsible for handling data for Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance stakeholder requests, along with ensuring data preservation for the business. eDiscovery processes involve working with electronically stored information to identify, preserve, collect, process, review, and produce for litigation and investigatory matters. Coordinate with service providers and vendors to ensure timely and complete delivery of data and services.
Use data processing tools to meet delivery data processing requirements. Follow documented procedures.
Identify, test, and execute sound technical tool solutions to data harvesting problems. Seek technical process improvements to create value to the business.
Find and implement data preservation solutions to meet legal preservation requirements. If preservation solution is not available, work with others to research and implement an acceptable approach. Advise the business on acceptable in-place preservation approaches.
Assess preservation requirements for data at risk for deletion. Escalate concerns to business stakeholders and follow through on required guidance or actions.
Monitor team mailbox and take ownership of data harvest requests, ensuring delivery meets stakeholder requirements (timing, scope, completeness, documentation, and prioritization).
Dynamically share work within the team to ensure delivery targets are met (accept more work, give work to others, collaborate on tasks, work cooperatively). Take ownership of personal work along with team’s tasks to ensure success.
Handle all accesses and privileged accounts with appropriate security and risk focus. Handle accesses and data with minimal interaction and processing as possible.
Ensure all data in access and control is maintained with highest protection and security.

Validate processes and extracted data, particularly for accurateness and completeness.
Research prior collections and stored data for new actions and requirements.
Ensure learnings are shared and memorialized for growth and development of the team.
