Our Client is looking to add a Sr JavaScript Developer with an expertise in front end development: HTML/CSS/JavaScript (no backend experience is necessary)
Experience with ecommerce and web-based applications
This person will develop front-end JavaScript applications and should be expereinced with HTML & CSS. You will be a part of a 12-member development team for a profitable, growing e-commerce site. Applications are built on a Spring / Hibernate stack, deployed on Apache Tomcat. The development team uses an Agile development methodology (a mix of Scrum and Extreme Programming) which requires close collaboration among developers, and also between developers and business owners.
Needed Skills
Strong JavaScript skills
Java/Tomcat web application development – understanding of HTTP request / response cycle
Strong communication skills, both spoken and written
Preferred Skills
Agile development experience (e.g. Scrum or Extreme Programming).
Experience with any or all of the following development components: Spring 2.5 , JSP, Hibernate, jQuery, PHP, a scripting language (Groovy, Ruby, Python...), JSON, XML, AJAX, jUnit, selenium, Lucene, Nutch, Solr, Apache, Tomcat, Maven, Ant, Apache
Contribution to Open Source projects
