Legal Counsel – Commercial
The candidate will draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, including contracts for the sale of goods, turnkey contracts, service agreements, bailments, real estate leases. Manage commercial disputes. Give accurate and timely counsel to employees at all levels of the organization on all legal topics relevant for U.S. business. Develop the organization’s policies on regulatory requirements and industry-specific issues. Manage and supervise outside counsel. Proven experience as a commercial attorney in a business environment is required. Must have 3 years of work experience. Inhouse experience preferred. Experience in the automation and manufacturing industry preferred. Must have J.D. degree. should be Licensed to practice law in Michigan, licenses in other jurisdictions a plus. Foreign language skills (Spanish, Portuguese and/or German) will be considered an advantage.
