Staff Attorney, Veterans Legal Support Center & Clinic
Duties: Students will be assigned to select cases to work with the Staff Attorney. Supervise students in the collaborative and clinical manner of the Veterans Clinic. Supervision will include memo review, critique, feedback and student follow-up as well as tracking case/client status and progress. Student progress will be tracked through student group meetings and individual meetings. Work with lead clinical students and the Director in goals and benchmarks for students and staff. Work with Clinic colleagues to assess cases and outcomes. May periodically staff and supervise diversion court students and cases. May assist in teaching Veterans Advocacy, a course related to the mission of the Veterans Clinic. Assist in developing and delivering legal training to attorneys regarding military and veteran related issues. Expected to dedicate a portion of their time to grant-related activities.
