My client is one of the oldest, most stable financial firms in the US. They are seeking a Team Lead for their broker dealer services division.
You will lead the technical design, development and documentation of cross-functional, multi-platform distributed application systems. S/he analyzes, defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, and logical processes and interfaces with other systems. S/he also ensures that expected application performance levels are achieved by coordinating, coding, testing, implementation and documentation.
Team Leader Job Purpose: Technically hands on leader to supervise AccessEdge and RepoNet team comprised of senior developers.
Team Leader Job Duties:
* Supervise 2 teams comprised of senior developers to ensure high level of productivity and quality by the team.
* Lead by example, communicates information with appropriate teams and individuals.
* Prioritize work and direct work of team members.
- Bring best practices show team better ways of doing things and help their skills.
* Help designs and develops user interfaces to internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.
* Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
* Updates job knowledge by researching new internet/intranet technologies and software products; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
* Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Qualifications
Minimum 6 - 8 years experience required. Job holder must have extensive knowledge of company's total computing environment, including all key IT functions, interdependencies and business impact of future IT plans. S/he must have prior lead experience selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and prior consulting experience with structured methodologies. Extensive experience with developing and supporting distributed applications required. Job holder must have broad experience with multi-platform development tools and toolkits.
J2EE, Database (Sybase/Oracle), JVM, Unix/Linux, Web Programming Skills, Teamwork, Verbal Communication, Web User Interface Design, Software Requirements, Software Development Process, Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Software Debugging, Cloud Computing experience will be a plus
